These two Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi by Sanpei Yamanaka are just so lovely. They depict a mother and a child, one has flowers and one has dragonflies.
Yamanaka-San was born in Yamagata and made creative kokeshi troughout his entire career. His kokeshi are really sought by collectors all over the world. He won the prestigious 'Prime Minister Award' in 1979.
