The mini 12" fountain is a nice size and sound for a smaller garden space or as a garden accent feature. The 20" fountain (not available until April 2023) is the largest of the rocking fountains and is closest to the scale used in the traditional Japanese Gardens. The base of the 20" is about 10" x 10" and the base of the 12" about 8.5" wide x 6.5" deep. The Rocking Fountain, “deer-scarer”, or “shi-shi-odo- shi” was originally designed to scare away deer and wild boar. The spout fills with water and rocks forward to empty, then rocks back to make on sale a gentle clacking sound. This combination of movement along with the sound of water and the clacking bamboo make it a captivating water feature. The rocking fountain is easy to install because it's designed as a single unit, mounted to a base. Simply place the fountain next to a pond or a shallow container, put the pump in the water, plug it in and enjoy. (Electric submersible pump included)
