Actual shelf depth is 5 3/4 inches deep.
HEAVY - Weighs about 10 Lbs.
I believe the wood is oak - very well made
Has 2 predrilled holes above the shelf for attaching to your wall.

NOTE---the mirror has been taped in the back---I believe this is because if you added mirror holders, the back of the shelf would not fit snug to the wall. (The tape seems sufficient.)
