The bowls are made from fine porcelain with a crackle glaze on the inside and a matte brown/gray textured exterior. The crackle glaze is part of its inherent quality and the crackle is quite randomized. Shown up close to demonstrate this randomness. Dishwasher safe, microwave not recommended. on sale
