Collaboration Bowl - Wooden Hand Painted Hand Turned Oak Display Bowl

This bowl is a collaboration with another Etsy seller - StarshipPaleo (https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarshipPaleo).

Let's be honest for a minute, not all art projects turn out as expected. This oak bowl was one of my first and it had a large crack that was filled with resin that just did not look right. It was not good enough to sell, so I put it on the shelf. Then I realized I knew an artist who may be able to salvage this bowl - my son-in-law, Sam, aka StarshipPaleo. I asked him if he would be willing to paint a few bowls for the Etsy shop. This is the first of several that are still in the works.

I love this bowl. It deserves a name such as: The Cauldron, The Fire Bowl, The Eye of Sauron, Terribowl, or Lava Soup. This will make a great conversation centerpiece.

This bowl is NOT food safe. The hand painted work has been preserved with gloss polyurethane. The inside is very shiny (it was difficult to take photos without glare).
