Circa 1970 MCM Original Salt Glazed Slab and on sale Hand Built Weed Pot Vase Form with Carved Design SIGNED Jill McDonald Crescent City California

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this weedpot vase form for sale. Jill McDonald was a friend of Mike Selfridge, a potter from Crescent City, on sale California. This vase was fired in Selfridge's kiln, as I had a discussion many years ago about a group of pottery I found.

Still has some felt on the foot, but you can make out enough of the McDonald, as shown. I note a couple factory firing lines near the foot that are glazed over and totally original. I do not detect any post-studio damage, such as chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This vase has a nice ring when tapped. All fragile merchandise is shipped with the "double box" process.
