This is just the prettiest fabric! I love the color combination of vivid green and shades of cocoa, cafe au lait, and eggplant brown against the patina'd warm white ground - SO lovely!! This beautiful antique French textile dates to approximately 1870-1900 and is a light to medium weight linen cotton blend fabric. The large scale floral pattern is hand block printed onto the fabric; it's a very sophisticated design and has elements of stylized foliage in the botanical pattern in the print!! Very dramatic and unique! on sale Gorgeous piece of fabric that would be so wonderful to use as a curtain, or perhaps could be repurposed as pillow covers, other window treatments, upholstery, or many other projects!

MEASUREMENTS: I am selling this beautiful piece of fabric BY THE HALF - each individual purchase will give you a piece of fabric that measures approximately 32 inches wide by approximately 47 inches long. If you would like to purchase BOTH halves, add to your cart and change the quantity to 2 and you will receive a piece of fabric that is approximately 32 inches wide and approximately 94 inches long.
CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors, but this textile can be hand washed and hung to dry! The selvage is intact on one sides but the other had been hemmed in the past, so there's some evidence of the seam that has partially come out. This piece has some very faint marks and age marks (use the zoom feature on the listing photos to see more detail), but overall, this is a wonderful textile!
