on sale An impressionistic view of a Big Brown Owl perching on a branch . The lightbeige, peach background is artistically made of small pieces of fabric.

This technique is called fabric layering. I place the backing on a table and cover it with the batting. Then I create the picture on the batting using fabric and threads, adding different layers as needed. When finished, the scene is covered with tulle and machine quilted together. The edges are zigzagged twice. When done, the tulle is very hard to see.

A quilt is made up of three layers, the top, the batting in the middle and the back. A fabric tube or sleeve is hand sewn to the top back of the quilt to ease hanging. A bamboo dowel is included. It can be easily hung from 2 push pins.

Keep out of direct sunlight. Shake or dust to clean.
