Based on your photograph, I can on sale create your own custom linocut print! The design will be in the same modern style shown in my other prints, featuring outlined hands and an object of some (ie food for a chef, scissors for a hair stylist, etc). However, this design will be unique to the pair of hands in the photograph. I will do my best to capture the character and make it a truly special piece for yourself or as a gift.
The process is done entirely by hand. I sketch out the drawing and carve it out on linoleum. Then, the linoleum is pressed onto archival paper (with a beautiful deckled edge) with professional relief ink.
Once the photograph is received, I will begin the process by sketching out the line drawing. Before starting the carving/inking/printing production, you will receive a message JPG of the line drawing for your approval. Please note there are no refunds or exchanges once the line drawing is approved.
The original piece of art work created will be limited edition. This listing includes a 1 of 1 print, or select additional prints as part of the edition at an additional charge. An edition is how many identical prints are made from the original linoleum block. For example, an edition of 3 of 3 would include 3 prints of the same design. That's the beauty of printmaking!
