Stunning hand hammered and etched copper dish by renowned artist Harold Jackson Alfred (H. Alfred). The dish is a shallow bowl that sits on a pedestal and measures 6 1/2" in diameter. The centre image, the Crane are worshiped and called upon for their longevity, wisdom and immortality and are a symbol of independence. Harold Jackson Alfred is from the on sale Kwakwaka'wakw (formerly Kwakiutl) First Nation and is a ‘Namgis artist from Alert Bay, B.C. currently living in Victoria, BC. His work can be found at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Royal British Columbia Provincial Museum, the Royal Collection Trust(UK) as well as at many worldwide exhibitions and private collections.
