On offer is this lovely collectible sauce ladle. It's in good condition overall, the silver shines up well still - there are a few very slight dimples over the bowl as well as light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.
It's of traditional form, beautifully decorated with an old English pattern handle terminal complete with engraved initials.
Hallmarked on the reverse for Edinburgh (Scottish sterling silver), 1809 and the maker Mitchell & Russell.
It measures a charming 17cm (6 and 3/4 inches) in total length, the bowl has an outer diameter of 40mm, weighs 28g and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once on sale again!
