Hand Felted Pure Wool Botanical Printed Naturally Dyed Scarf Mothers on sale Day

This scarf was hand felted with pure merino and then embellished with some firestar fibre before being printed with eucalyptus leaves. The handmade felt scarf was decorated with various eucalyptus leaves and then rolled into a tight bundle which was secured with string. The bundle was then immersed in a dye pot of eucalyptus leaves and simmered for 2 hours.
The leaves left a variety of coloured imprints on the scarf and the string lines of the bundle also added a pattern at the outer layer of the bundle.

The item measures 127 x 22 cm / 50 x 9". and can be washed gently by hand in warm soapy on sale water.
