Blood Moon Carousel on sale

This Cannonball gourd just cried out to be a carousel. Because I am from Florida it only made sense to do a Florida carousel. The blood moon color in the background is a rich mahogany ink dye.

The carousel consists of a sea turtle, a seahorse, a manatee, and a bird that maybe a pelican or maybe a stork. Each on sale animal has a basket on it's back that has been carved to give it a natural woven look.

Once the designs were completed with the wood burner, I then used Ink Dyes to color the designs. Using a Dr Once completed I sprayed the gourd with a protective sealer which will make the gourd last a life time if taken care of. However, it is best to not place the gourd in direct sunlight as the ink dyes will fade.
