​​The USS Stockdale is named after Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale (1923-2005). Stockdale was awarded the Medal of Honor during the Vietnam war where he was a prisoner of war for more than seven years. He was Ross Perot's vice presidential running mate in the 1992 general election.

Museum quality Giclee printed on Hahnemuhle William Turner 310gsm heavy 100% cotton fiber, acid-free, pH neutral archival paper. Made with the highest quality materials to last up to 200 years in normal room light conditions.

Adam Koltz is a marine artist and 20 year Navy veteran aboard several classes of ships, including merchant vessels. Adam's attention to detail stems from his intimate knowledge of ships and his passion for accuracy. His understanding of the interaction of ships with the natural forces of wind and water gives his pictures life and vitality. Adam uses pen and ink, as well as watercolor, and depicts the ship or boat on a chart with historical or current significance.
