Red roses on black, 100% silk twill women's square neck scarf on sale with hand finished hem

Although the Red roses inspiration comes from reading The Little Prince, the black/red combination comes from the warmth of the Spanish lands, “roses on black” are about the sensuality of the flamenco dancers alongside with their femininity and the mystery behind their “caliente” nature.

I begin the design process for my scarves by painting the individual motives by hand in watercolour, and then scanning these into Illustrator software to replicate across the whole design and add simpler elements such as lines and background colours. The design is then digitally printed on on sale to luxurious silk twill (100% silk), and the hem is hand rolled and stitched.

The scarf is a fairly generous sized neck scarf, measuring 35" x 35" (about 90cm x 90cm). While I make sure that there are no creases before I carefully fold for shipping, some may develop in transit, but these can be ironed out on a warm setting with no steam, or will smooth out with time and use in any case.
