For the Tea Leaf or ironstone collector, this graceful creamer has so many lovely details that it will quickly become a favourite!
It is a gold lustre "Morning Glory" pattern motif pitcher with a Roccoco body style base with pedestal, dated to 1840. It is in perfect condition with very little gold loss on the top edge. It measures 5.75" at it's widest including spout and handle, and approx. 4" wide and 5" at its tallest. There are small marks within the glaze - like the black dots that appear in the photos as well as "skips" in the on sale glaze. These are, in my opinion, part of the manufacturing process not damage to the piece. Please request more photos, if you would like.
I purchased it from a collector of antique creamers, among other things, and the small circular sticker on the bottom was her way of cataloguing and catagorizing her collection - this one was #259. I left it on as a way of honouring her collecting and organizing efforts.
As always, I would be happy to provide any additional photos, answer any questions or combine shipping with any other treasure found at East of Eden Antiques. Please note that we have a bricks and mortar shop as well, so if you are looking for something else either for yourself or for someone special, just ask. I might have it in store and ready to ship to you.
