59.5 inches tall. It is about 4.5 inches around at neck of stick.

This staff can be shortened from the bottom if a different length is needed. You will also have option to select stick as is or to add a leather strap at top of staff if you would like; we can include a handmade wood bead on the strap or naturally shed deer antler bead. on sale In order to add the leather we will need to drill hole in staff at the neck.

Grown by Mother Nature then whittled, carved and finished by me, Johnny.. or some call me Kentucky Johnny. I was happy to find this sweet gum in a wooded area on the back of our place. I always keep my eye open for sticks I can work into something useful.

I have removed all of the outer layers of bark except for at the very top of the staff where it has a natural slant...I left some outer bark at that top few inches to add some deeper color and texture. You will see colors of very light beige to dark browns up and down the stick, with a very nice wood grain. The nicks, slight curves and few knots along with the splashes of dark color add to its character. I have added a wood burned snake at neck of this staff to give it a bit different look.

It feels good holding the stick at the smooth neck before it widens slightly at the top of staff. This staff is medium weight for its height. Very good looking, strong and sturdy. I have finished the walking stick with a light gloss for a little protection and shine.
