This stunning bowl features 4 sets of peacocks that surround the center of the bowl. The peacocks are among fruit trees. They have colorful bodies and gold tail accents. The center has an intricate design and the same design graces the top edge. It also has an elegant gold painted edging along the top. Hand painted in elegant craftsmanship. Marked “Favorite Bavaria” on the bottom.
Favorite Bavaria is the mark used by the the C. Hutschenreuther company in Bavaria, Germany. The artist behind the name was Jacob H. Stouffer from Illinois. His studio was based in Chicago and was in operation from 1905-1952. He employed some of the best decorators and artisans of his time.
Good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some pinholes/flea bites and scratches.
Measures: 9” in diameter.
This piece has to be seen to appreciate its magnificence! The picture don't do it justice. It's a true piece of art!!!
