Rare Antique brass novelty shoe pen knife with on sale steel blade

This lovely little penknife has an unmarked steel blade and brass on sale casing cast in the form of a shoe. It dates from the early part of the last century and judging by the style of the shoe it may not be English. The blade opens and closes nicely and the item has a length of 5.1cm when in the closed position.
