World War I (1914-18) Cambridgeshire Regiment Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British Cambridgeshire Regiment buttons (King George V) from the era of the First World War, over 105 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two silvered volunteer officers' buttons of the Cambridgeshire Regiment. The Cambridgeshire Regiment was a volunteer reserve infantry regiment, many of which volunteered for overseas service at the start of the First World War. They fought on the Western Front and were involved in infamous battles such as the Somme and Passchendaele. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff / pocket buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 20 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of British and First World War history. The silvered buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are over 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
