Vintage Battersea Box from Halcyon Days Enamels.
This is the "Christmas" box from Christmas 1983. New Old Stock in original box.
Made in England.
Collectible Bilston English Enamel Box.
24k gold plated hinged lid and base.
Winter florals.
Holiday greetings inscription inside lid.
1 3/4 inch diameter by 1 inches tall.

They are made by craftsmen and hand painted in Bilston, the traditional Georgian center of enameling of copper. A bit about vintage...Most items are used as they are 20-50 plus years old. Sometimes items can be found that have been stored for years and have remained somewhat pristine; others have been gently used and may bear the signs of this and some may be downright shabby from years of use or neglect, but this patina of age can add to its charm. All items are described as accurately as I can assess and photos are provided to illustrate.
