TAM O SHANTER WITCH AND TAVERN PORCELAIN TEAPOT 1978 Condition is Used. The Scene from an old Scottish poem called, ‘Tam O' Shanter', which was written by Robert Burns in 1790. This image is a celebration in a tavern with drinking and great merriment. As on sale the piece is rotated, a mounted horseman is in full gallop toward a wooden foot bridge. With a look of terror on his face the horseman is looking backward to see two flying witches directly behind him with one holding his horse by the tail.
