A very tradfitional watercolour painting by English artist E.B.Tiffen on sale titled on the verso 'The Back lane' which is located in Marks Tey, Colchester, Essex, England.

I imagine it is a familiar back lane the artist knows well perhaps walking a dog or the likes but just about everyone of us must be familiar with a countryside walk such as this and the fact it has been painted after a snowfall just adds to the interest and transports me to all the similar, familiar type of places I have walked in the past. Some paintings so often speak loudly.
