The horseshoe might be salvaged or new. The galvanized hardware and glass center are newly purchased. Bear in mind that the metals I use are salvaged and repurposed so they may be less than perfect - but that's part of their charm!
Due to the nature of steel, eventually some rust may appear if the item is left outdoors for an extended time. You can delay any future rust by applying a clear spray sealer. But honestly, the rust really adds to the beauty of the piece because you never know what Mother Nature is going to create - maybe more WabiSabi!
