This is such a charming rendition of a happy fisherman holding his pipe with a hand in his pocket. Hand carved from wood, pine I think, and stained. Some wonderful detail includes a double breasted jacket, fisherman's cap, pipe, neck scarf, and great facial features with a beard.
This may be a mid-century piece that would be a wonderful gift for the fisherman in your life! Artisan made with artisan mark on bottom. A great collectible to add to your folk art collection, too! Some chips on the brim of the hat and some stain wear otherwise in good vintage condition.
