I only used this a few times and for what I used it for it took the stains right out and there was no smell. I used on a mattress and on furniture. I no longer need it as we no longer have animals. It is meant for flat surfaces and doesn't really work for upright and contorted positions. Holds a charge for about 30min straight use. Comes on sale with charger.
