Indiana at Shiloh: Report of the Commission; by John W. Coons, issued in 1904 by on sale the Indiana Shiloh National Park Commission

FIRST EDITION. VERY GOOD CONDITION. This book was a library book that was apparently rarely checked out because of its very good condition particularly the very large fold-out map. This book has been reprinted, but this original first edition is a fine collector's piece. The two maps are printed on one large piece of paper approximately 4' x 2.5'. This has one tear, but it's minor and doesn't interfere with the map itself, only the border (see: photo). There are many b/w photographs of soldiers and monuments to the fallen.

This is an important document compiled from first-hand accounts of one of the most important battles in the American Civil War that took place at on sale Shiloh (Pittsburg Landing) Tennessee in 1862
