Vintage 1950's Little Boy Blue wall art pin up set by Dolly Toy Company of Ohio. This complete set is in excellent condition and comes in its original box. It is absolutely adorable and would be perfect for a baby or child's nursery or bedroom. Some people have even put them on their laundry room walls for a fun vintage look. The set features a darling little boy blue asleep on the hay with a rooster near by trying to rouse him from his slumber. This set is rare as it comes in the original box which features Tinker Bell and some great graphics. This is an authentic vintage set by designer Phil Riley for Dolly Toy Company. The pin ups are made of a durable laminated hard board stock and covered with bright colorful graphics. All pieces are here. The condition is excellent, original bright colors. The box has the original price tag from Meier and Frank's, a prominent upscale department store in Portland, Oregon and the owner's name inscribed on it. There is an adorable vintage card from the gift giver of this set and it was apparently a wedding gift in anticipation of the couple having a baby, the inscription reads : "For the Bride, something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.. and always a penny in the shoe". This is precious and included as it was originally intended. This type of wall art is perfect for baby's nursery, a child's bedroom wall or as a fun graphic on any wall for lover's of all things disney. Or a vintage on sale cartoon collector. Great original nursery rhyme collectible from 1948-1952. These came in several different designs including nursery rhymes and were very popular in celebrities kids rooms.
