This Labrador Retriever is hand crafted using the art of intarsia. It measures 13 inches tall by 12 inches wide and is 1 inch thick. It weighs 2lb 15 oz.
This Lab contains 34 individual pieces of wood. Each piece is cut out with a scroll saw, shaped, raised or lowered and glued to present the perfect image of the Labrador Retriever.
The woods used are mahogany, walnut, aspen and cherry.
The colors are natural wood colors. No wood stains are used.
A backing is attached and a saw tooth picture hook is on the back for hanging on a wall. This Lab can also be displayed on a flat surface supported by a picture stand.
A lacquer finish is applied to preserve the wood and give it a slight shine.
