Enamel Tri Oval Pendants – Turquoise Sapphire Blue, Black Enamel w Sterling Silver rings and black handmade on sale necklace – Handmade – Boho style

One of a kind tri oval enamel pendant on black handmade plaited cord with sterling silver handmade clasp. This will look great with both casual and dressy outfits.

The enamel components are turquoise and sapphire blues with background of black and part of my 'Ocean Deep' series. I used opaque colors layered over each other which result in unusual variations of the base colors as well as adding silver rings to add interest and contrast.

To on sale make the pendant, I file and form the copper metal base (3 ovals) to ensure a pleasing curve. For the enamel components, I added two layers of counter-enamel (black) on the reverse side for strength and durability, then several layers of colour on the 'front' and add the designs using a scribe tool. This adds an organic look to the final pieces. These pieces have 3 layers of color and effect on the front. After enameling, I make the plaited material necklace and the sterling silver clasp components and assemble them all. This pendant opens and closes at the front and side of the necklace.

Each combination of design elements and the outcome from the kiln-firing is unique.

Enamel is glass fused to a base metal, so please treat this pendant as precious and handle and store carefully so it will last for decades!
