This great example of vintage McCoy Pottery is in wonderful vintage condition. It is missing the chain that went to the bucket, but it would be easy to add a new chain. The phrase on the front and back of this planter reads "Oh Wishing Well Grant A Wish To Me." It is signed McCoy on the bottom (and the white on the McCoy is not a chip, but where the lettering was raised and not glazed.) There are no chips or cracks although there is a little residue inside where a plant must have lived and been watered. I did clean it, but didn't want to scrub too hard. There is also a small "bead" of glaze at the bottom that must have dripped down during the glazing on sale and firing process.
The Wishing Well is approximately 7 inches long, 6 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. If you collect McCoy Pottery--or planters, this would be a wonderful addition to your collection.
