on sale This is a very beautiful deco compact in its original box. It is marked Pinaud inside and it is also marked on the box, Pinaud's Vanity. I am guessing this dates to the 1950s, but it might be earlier.

The compact itself is in beautiful condition. I don't see any paint or enamel loss on the front and I see few surface scratches and such on the back, but no corrosion.

It opens well. The tin mirrors have a residue of the puff on both sides. The rouge side looks unused and the other powder is used and leaks all over. On the back is a little door for putting in powder.

The compact measures 2.25 tall and 1.5 across.

The box has some lovely deco images. It's in good vintage condition to my eye. It opens and closes well, but has some scuffs and discoloration from age.
