Description: Swank - Arts of the World Series - Roman Colosseum Cufflinks features a reverse carved crystal with gold-toned backings.

Dimensions: 7/8" by 3/4"

Condition: Very Good - As with most vintage Jewelry there may be some tarnishing, light scratches on the metal or face. Such deformities cannot usually be seen unless closely inspected under a light. Please take a close look for the condition in the above photographs.

Swank History:

Swank is the vintage powerhouse in the men's accessory industry. At its peak in the 1960's, it was selling over 12 million pairs of cufflinks a year. Swank, Originally named Attleboro Manufacturing Company, began creating costume jewelry in 1897 (mostly for woman). Their first major success was in 1918 when they came up with the Kum-A-Part cuffs. By the time World War I came around, they were in position to fulfill military contracts to make dog tabs during World War I (among other things), which gave them the manufacturing capability to specialize in men's accessories.

It wasn't until 1936 that they had officially changed the company's name to Swank Products Inc; shortly, after in 1941 they shortened it to Swank, Inc. Swanks Success continued and even continued to help their country during World War II, by manufacturing tools, bronze stars, and purple hearts for the military.

Today, Swank is still operating, but more so by private labeling for designers like Guess, Geoffrey Beene, Kenneth Cole, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, and more.
