Here is a beautiful bottle of passion. Very beautiful, ancient piece of handmade religious folk art on sale, involving a long process of patience, skill and extreme ingenuity. Designed to help pass the time or soothe loneliness, or to distract the mind. This bottle was probably made by a sailor, soldier or prisoner of war. Contains a representation of the crucifixion, called "Passion of Christ" or "Calvary". This represents the cross and various hand-carved wooden tools placed inside an old Vichy water bottle. The bottle looks quite old. Year of manufacture unknown. It is very slightly greenish. It was sealed with a Fuller brand cap, made of plastic, painted red. There is a cross with a red heart and the instruments of passion: ladder, hammer, nails, centurion spear and others. There are also plastic fern stems. Everything is fixed, but over time, the base of the cross is a little less solid on one side and the glass of the bottle is a little foggy inside. Inscriptions in relief on the bottle: "VICHY ETAT (in 3 circles) and at the base, 90 cl, PG, AG, L, NI CONSIGNE, NI RETOUR". A very nice collector's item.
Format: Height 27 cm, diameter 8.5 cm. About a little less than 1 liter (90cl).
