I have always loved Autumn not just for the hot chocolate and beautiful landscapes but for what it meant to me symbolically. Autumn is a season of change, when mother nature sheds the old, preparing for the new. And I have always been in awe of how she does it so beautifully and gracefully while we humans struggle with letting go of our past. There is uncertainty and anguish as we shed our old skins but it's also a leap of faith, a sign of transformation.
This painting, with this beautiful reddish brown fox taking a leap over the moon is representative of my feelings about autumn and is one of my personal favorites !
