N4N Story
My daughter, Neely, has bravely managed type 1 diabetes for almost ten years. Since her diagnosis at age 7, projects funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation have made life with t1d less challenging. We strongly support JDRF's mission to find a cure for t1d and new treatment options, while advocating for and educating individuals dealing with the disease. I serve on the JDRF Eastern Iowa Chapter Board. We participate in the annual JDRF One Walk.
A desire to raise money for JDRF and a passion for accessories led to NeckIaces for Neely. Each necklace makes a statement to find a cure for t1d. The pieces sit near your heart to show the love I have on sale for Neely and her adaptability, patience, and positive attitude. Proceeds from the sale of each item will be donated to JDRF.
I gravitate toward beads that support local economies in developing countries. Many of the strands I purchase are handmade, vintage, and/or recycled/upcycled. Creating unique necklaces that make the wearer feel special provides me great joy!
(Please note these necklaces are fragile! Wear them with care!)
